on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 | This weekend I got two new trucks, both '54 GMC 1-tons, one a driver with a Hyda-Matic the other a parts truck missing engine and transmission. I love bigger trucks and was giddy when I got this one home! \'54 GMC 250 More pictures here: http://www.oldsub.com/images/2007/08/onetons/ but be forewarned this are not dialup friendly.

I wouldn't be calling that truck a parts truck, not where I come from. There is some pretty nice metal on that truck. I hope that you have fun with those trucks. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 | That's a nice one Steve. I'll have to wait until I get to work to see your pictures, darn it. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 5,152 | I love that blue dually as a dually!
The white truck is definitely just parts, I probably didn't take pictures of the bad body parts, but it has them.
Calling the dually a runner is probably stretching the truth a little, but the motor spins nice and sounds right, and the PO says it was driven just a couple years ago. The hood was stuck shut and tonight I managed to get it open. Next is checking fluids, checking electrical, and then sticking a battery in it.
I'm confident its going to run.
