I took the '37 out Saturday for the first show I've been to since last fall. I been busy with other projects and just haven't had it out. It was a 100 miles each way to the show and weather was nice around 85, so I put the coals to her and drove 70 to 75 mph as I running a little late. Even at those speeds, I still got 14.5 mpg going and 15 mpg coming back!

The show was a lot of fun, they gave out 75 or 80 awards, mine was one of top 10 vehicles of the show, according to judges!

All in all, a good day, now out to the garage to clean off bugs and tree sap...... Joe

Congratulations, Joe! That is great!

It's always good to see the people appreciate your truck and it's great when the judges pick your truck! Your truck is beautiful and well engineered! wink

Jealous, jealous, jealous, is how I feel, but it gives me a boost to see I might actually get to see mine finished.

I don't consider the truck the winner that most do since I see all the mistakes and what nots.

I guess its the laid back style, nothing fancy just clean and neat. At most shows, I feel bad because they keep picking it, I just go for the drive and chance to talk with folks.

I am still real happy about how it drove, straight as an arrow. It was so easy keeping up with traffic, that 3.08 gear was a good move!

Thanks again for the nice posts, see you at the next show. Joe
