Working on the '62 Suburban this week, and noticed something about the inner fenders under the hood, and where they line up with the frame rail.
On the passenger side, the bottom of the inner fender is almost even with the top of the frame rail. On the driver's side, I can get two fingers between the fender and the outside (suspension-side) of the frame. The truck has 45 years worth of light bumps and such with the front bumper, but it doesn't look like it's ever been whacked or punched hard.
But it definately looks like the front sheetmetal is over to one side.
Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be an inch and a half gap between the outside of the frame and the bottom of the inner fender?
Thanks,
-Brad
