I have a spare and its doesn;t look like much more than a core with some sheet metal around it. Sometime in my trucks life a mopar deluxe heater was installed in place of the orginal heater unit. It works wonderfully so I don;t plan on changing it. I was just curious about the stock unit. I figure this happened for probably only one reason. I belaive the orginal engine was changed out for a later model 235 that was 12 volt. either mopar parts were cheap or the farmer had an old mopar car or something laying around as not only is the heater mopar but so is the alternator. Nevertyhe less the mopar heater hads a fan unit and works very well. The original heater in my '48, which was a factory option back then, has a fan.
