Can anyone tell me the years that Chevy made a truck using the name of Apache. I have seen people call trucks by the name of Apache as early as 1956 but the earlyest Apache in the gallery is a 1958

1957 2 ton GMC
1959 3/4 ton apache stepside

'58-'61 is correct. I believe that they were still referred as Apache in '62-'63 in the sales material, but not on the trucks themselves.

58-61 and I have seen a few 62's with the apache emblems but they may have been added by someone other than factory.

I can remember when you could get the dealer to put just about anything you wanted on a truck if thay had it in stock.Thats why you will see 61's with 59 cool pack air conditiong mounted to the tunnel hump or maybe a hood ornament from a previous year and other defiations from the norm.

So "dealer installed" could be correct for some of those questionable items including emblems.
