The factory 283 cid V8 in OLRED66 took a dump on me over the summer, so I decided it was time to give her a new power plant. During the process, I decided it was a good time to correct a few minor issues. I degreased the entire front end, coated it with black POR15, corrected the leaking power steering gear box and steering shaft alignment and replaced the hacked up transmission cross member with a factory correct automatic tranny cross member.

Clean front end

Power steering gear box & stainless steel conversion plates

Factory power brake booster & coupled steering shaft

Deluxe steering wheel

Donor 283 cid V8 engine

I will post some additional photos of the progress through completion. Enjoy the pictures and Happy Holiday.

Time for Mr. Goodwrench.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Very nice truck!
Even with the KC stuff on it. To bad it wasn’t KC Royals stuff on it instead.
