This may sound like a stupid question, but can anyone tell me what are the identifying characteristics of a "Deluxe Cab" truck?

A 5 window cab, which is the little corner windows at the rear of the cab with maybe some stainless steel trim,

The deluxe cab option varied from year to year and the five window cab was a separate option. 1953 models had limited chrome and stainless steel because of Korean war shortages. Deluxe cab option may not have been offered then. Anyone know?

I have not seen 1953 documents but the 1954 documents refer to "reinstatement of deluxe equipment package for all regular and COE cab models".

Passenger side sunvisor & arm rests on doors. Also, I am told, the deluxe cab had wheels painted color of truck with pinstripes on wheels. Regular cabs had black wheels.

Pretty sure Deluxe denontes the 5-window cab right through the range. Maybe you could order the "Nu-Vue" corner windows separately, but I've always believed that was the one identifier of the "Deluxe cab" on AD trucks.

In 1949, the deluxe equipment was rear corner windows, stainless windshield and door window reveals, inner door window garnish molding, seat back trim panel, drivers side arm rests (passenger side was a different option), body color wheels with pinstripes (number dependent on wheel size), right had sun shade, and chrome plated radiator grille on series 3000 trucks.

But the 1953 restoration pack does not list the deluxe cab option (#390), but it does have option #287, corner windows. Given the information above, I do not think the deluxe cab option was available that year.
