I wish I could be the person my dog thinks I am!

Deluxe cab option may not have been offered then. Anyone know? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | I have not seen 1953 documents but the 1954 documents refer to "reinstatement of deluxe equipment package for all regular and COE cab models". | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 | | | | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 13 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 13 | Passenger side sunvisor & arm rests on doors. Also, I am told, the deluxe cab had wheels painted color of truck with pinstripes on wheels. Regular cabs had black wheels. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 707 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 707 | Pretty sure Deluxe denontes the 5-window cab right through the range. Maybe you could order the "Nu-Vue" corner windows separately, but I've always believed that was the one identifier of the "Deluxe cab" on AD trucks. 1951 3800 Be the change you want to see. -hotshoe

But the 1953 restoration pack does not list the deluxe cab option (#390), but it does have option #287, corner windows. Given the information above, I do not think the deluxe cab option was available that year. | | |
