Also some people in other countries have to pay by the byte so this way they can just look at one picture or the other. And as a professional photographer, I can also say nice job with the pix! | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 1,158 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 1,158 | After considering the two, I think I like the second marginally better than the first.
The license plate and the grille make it. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 236 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2006 Posts: 236 | I take it the band's name is the Layabouts from the first pic. While I prefer the second pic from a purely aesthetic point of view, you may want to see how it looks with the band's name incorporated into the pic. Unfortunately, I don't think you could get a realistic looking license plate if you overlayed the bands name in place of the license plate number. I think that it's important that you incorporate the band's name into the CD cover.

I think that the first picture just has something to it that I like more. I would go with the first one.

Sam, to answer your question, we do have a demo and yes it up on myspace, however we recorded it in the basement with a lap top, our singer was just learning to sing, and his voice a a bit off.. I will paly with placing text in the second pic... the plate is the farm plate my truck came with... it has new plates, but I left the farm one on, to keep the truck like I found it.. I am not sure about what it is that makes the first one so appealing... maybe the curves of a 51...contrasted with the guitar, the second one was the original concept.. I wanted the grille, headlight and plate in the shot... the first one was a whim, an after thought... Kinda funny I disobeyed some major photo rules and shot these at 1 in the afternoon, the sun was directly over head.. ah well I got lucky. I think it is pretty easy to take good shots of our trucks, they all have such great lines, something sorely missed in todays auto industry. Thanks for the feedback... If I mess around again with the camera, I will be sure to post. m
