Either way, if it runs it's worth it. Then take a pic, post it and one of the know-it-alls on this board will tell you things about that engine the manufacturer didn't know.

Practicaly all carbs. are downdraft. He might have ment updraft. Some of the stepvans had updraft carbs. The manifolds & carb off yours will fit unless its a 54 up engine.
