Still - try and find a different forum on the web for S-10 specific questions; I'm sure they're out there. That way we don't have to make a judgement call - Chev trucks are OK, GMC trucks are OK, why not my '89 Chevy Corsica? Because it's a Stovebolt page for pre-1974 GM trucks. I will get complaints either way - some folks will complain if the topics stray past Stovebolts and I don't do anything about it, and some folks will complain if I do. The only right answer is: it's up to y'all to make it the right bulletin board for folks genuiunely interested in Stovebolt engines & drivelines. -Boyo

-Boyo Didn't do a serious search and know nothing about the quality of the site, but the first site that came up on a google search for "chevy s-10 forum" was S10Forum.com As Boyo states, there are probably many more.

This is Boyo's forum and what he says goes. Yes,there is a gray area -- but it's up to Boyo to determine where that is. My intent, as the editor of the site, is to create a site for pre-73 GM trucks. If we start down the slippery slope of trying to be all things to all people, we will lose our focus. Again.
Is there an overlap? Probably -- that's where the gray area is. Is there some way your '89 S-10 question relates to pre-'73 GMs? Could be -- are you trying to retro S-10 equipment into your Stovebolt? A ha -- there's where we fit. BUT -- if you have a problem with your '89 S-10 (that has no crossover to a pre'73 Stovebolt), then this really isn't the web site for that. And Boyo is the one who makes the call in here. If he says no, then it's no. So, the answer is ... No. Not to be difficult, just honest.
I'm sorry, but we have to draw the line somewhere and we draw it at the changeover from the 1972 to 1973 model years.

Maybe we could have an "Other" catagory for other makes and models of automobiles and maybe equipment like tractors and such. If it is "automotive" only, I don't think it would be abused. I'm always interested in modern machinery and would rather discuss it with "freinds" on the Bolt than go elsewhere.
Just something to kick around,
