Well I ready to order my new front end parts and find that I have 63 parts. As I have no torsion bars but coil set up. It is for the good but makes me wonder as the number onthe frame match the tag on the door and it is spot welded . But I see no where that the frame was altered or anything removed.

How do you know its a '62? A '63 could have been sold late in '62 and titled as a '62... Just one thought.

It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...

Are you sure it is a 1962? Vehicles were registered as the year first sold rather than the model year in some states at that time. Do the numbers indicate that it is 1962?

If it was originally equipped with torsion bars, you should be able to see the crossmember where the torsion bars bolted up. It's welded to the frame, so even if they removed it, you should still see shadows.

Well the title says 62 but I have no way of running VIN. I thought about the being built in late 62 but I was talking to CCP about their disc/ spindels kit and was having trouble with there parts. But turned out that it was me that had it wrong.

I did send a picture to the gallery section

Truck is a AZ truck with 93,000 on it now I bought it with 90k and have been having fun driving it every where. Wife laughs as I let the 06 dodge Hemi sit and I take the CHEVY instead.

I am yanking engine on tues to re build it. I have done plenty of engine and trans work ( build harleys now) but never owend a truck older than a 72 so these are new to me. Truck was a wedding gift from wife a few weeks ago. Been driving the wheels off it. Even let the Harley sit as well to drive this LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
