| | | | Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 158 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 158 | Last year I parted a '62, and grabbed the whole front suspension. I've since cleaned it all up, had it sand-blasted, and repainted it.
2 weekends ago I installed new ball joints and A-arm shafts, and dropped the old suspension out of my '60.
This weekend I got the whole front frame cleaned, degreased, and de-rusted. Then I got it painted, and got the newly rebuilt front suspension in! It looks AWESOME!
The only problem that I had (aside from fact that my friend the crack-head stole $500 worth of tools out of my garage) is that the spindle bolts that Classic Parts sent were the wrong thread. Other than that, by the way, they did a great job.
I took some pics, I'll send them to my gallery when I get a chance.

The 62 front end is identical except for the spindles (which are currently for sale  ) And Houston, you're right. I was speaking in the past tense about the work, and so he was "friend." Speaking in the present tense, he WAS friend. Unless some day he straightens up and decides to replace them. I also weeded around my trees and rebuilt the water bowls around them...
