"Curly" was crushed by a Oak tree last January. http://www.stovebolt.com/gallery/ducor_doug_1966_02.htm This "NEW" truck has a 283 and a Powerglide, and looks like it is original. He will be named "Curly Too" for obvious reasons. By the way, the purchase price is $1,750.00. I will pick "Curly Too" up on Saturday. I will submit my "NEW" truck in the gallery after I get him home. Like my first two trucks, it was manufactured at the same plant in Lakewood, Georgia. I have found a fairly decent cab for "Curly", and will re-cab him. Then I probably will sell him. | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2,877 Socket Breaker | Socket Breaker Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2,877 | We want pics of the new ride asap! What are the options on this new ride? -W | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 688 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 688 | Hey Congrats there, one word of advice "carport" ($1750.00 huh? thats great) Cliff59 | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 313 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 313 | -W. I'll get pictures as soon as I can. The truck is a C-10 Longbed Fleetside, and is the Custom Cab with the aluminum grill, chrome bumpers, custom trim and the large rear window. Some of the other options include a 283 V8, Powerglide, original factory radio that works, Thrift air heater, passenger visor and passenger door lock. The truck looks like it has 49,000 actual miles, and has always been in Gainesville, Georgia. It will need some minor work on a few spots of rust, new bed wood and a new paint job, but I'll have to get new tires, brakes and tune up the engine first. Cliff. I'm getting rid of other trees that might be a problem, and will be getting a carport before long. Yeah. $1,750.00 was a steal. It is probably worth twice that amount. | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2,877 Socket Breaker | Socket Breaker Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 2,877 | wow! custom cab and big back window with a 283 ?

Good luck with your project!

Because the tires were dry rotted, I drove no faster than 45 mph. Shortly after getting home, one of the tires went flat. | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 119 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: May 2005 Posts: 119 | At least you got some fire wood for the pit (just kiddin) I think I'd s*it in my pants if my truck was crushed by an oak! I'm glad you have a replacement project. You have my sympathy for your loss.
