Does anybody from the front range know of any decent junk yards that carry something other than stripped mid 90's imports?

All Trucks or Canon Truck or something like that in Canon City. Webb's on 94 in Ellicot, straight east of Colorado Springs.

I've visited both in the last few months and saw lots of truck stuff. The Canyon City place was definitely selling parts, the one in Ellicot seemed to be more interested in collecting than selling, but had lots of stuff and claimed to be open for business.

There are two really good yards at the Erie exit North of Denver off I-25. They are next door to the Erie racetrack, and are on the East side of I-25. You can't miss them! I've had great luck at both yards.

There is another yard near Strasberg on I-70 East of DIA that's good.

Over in Delta, there's Cook's Salvage. He's got lots of Stovebolt stuff, too.

I spent 5 years in Colorado Springs. Left there in 04. Lived next door to Webbs for 6 months. The trick with Webbs on 94 in Ellicott is to go there specifically for something. Be knowledgeable about what it is you are looking for. Treat Ol' Mr Webb with respect and he will open his yard to you, but only on Saturday mornings. He doesn't have time for people who are just there to see what they can see. He also will usually walk out to the vehicle with you until he gets to know you.
The one north of Denver near the racetrack is good too. You can see them from I-25.
Depending on the years your looking for, A-1 in Colorado Springs (near Ft Carson) get some in from time to time, especially 60-72's. Call them first as their inventory changes weekly.

Much thanks for the help fellas. The bushing that supports the driveshaft just past the joint wore our, so now the driveshaft is scraping against the iron support. Should be an interesting one to fix.

I saw a couple of yards about 15 miles south of Monte Vista on Rt. 15, right where it ends and you have to turn east. Both those yards had many old trucks of all sizes. I've passed by there several times on my way to South Fork and Wolf Creek from N.M. but never had time to stop. I usually turn left just past La Jara and then right up 15 to Monte as a short cut to avoid Alamosa when I'm go through Antonito on 285 rather than via Chama/Pagosa.
