From Luke :

This is my 1965 Chevy C10 with a 350 V8 that was pulled form a '71 Nova SS, rebuilt (48k miles now) 3 speed transmission, conversion kit with 3k miles on it.

I am a sophomore at Colorado State University-Pueblo ( Mechanical Engineering), running my own painting franchise. I needed a truck to use to move crews between job sites. I have always had a soft spot for old Chevy trucks, so I scoured the internet and papers for a truck I could be proud of, work on and count on, too.

I found the '65 truck online, read about it and couldn't believe what I was reading. I read about how the truck hadn't been used too much since the rebuild of the 350. The transmission was as good as new and the asking price was $1,200. I jumped on the opportunity and so far, it has been everything I have hoped for.

Driving it back from Kansas proved to be a minor adventure though. I was just outside of Limon, Colorado when the oil pressure gauge suddenly dropped, so I pulled over at the next exit and decided to put four quarts of oil in it and hope for the best. Luckily, I stopped the engine fast enough so that no damage was caused and I haven't had any oil related problems since.

It's big, yellow and loud with a custom Edelbrock exhaust and should prove to be a great truck for me to work on and learn from in the future!
