Or at least it was at one time. What a shame. Maybe it can be saved or someone can get some good parts off it. It should be easy to get the old paint off now.

I wouldn't touch it after being in a fire. Might as well scrap it for the iron now,
Scott

I guess the fuel tank must have been bone dry while it was cookin'.

How hot would the thing have to get to mess with the integrety of the steel? (frame, engine components, etc)

I'd guess the rear fenders could just be media blasted and epoxy primered and painted and be good as new.. same thing with the bed sides and tailgate.. bumpers.. grill.. lots of solid body parts, anyway.

Somebody outta ask him, "So.. how's the bed wood?"

Ok guys: Look at it real close, the fire was above the center of the cab. I actually believe from what I can see anything from the top of the bed down might be salvageable. So in my opion the frame problay is in pretty good shape.

The leaded areas seem to be still in place so I would guess that the whole truck did not get all that hot.

Just an idea: why not leave the metal the way that it is and leave it as a kind of patina'd finish instead of painting it? Just my $0.02 worth.

Look at it close::: The fire rolled over the front end, problay why you see a front wheel flat. The glass is shattered NOT melted! The main heat of he fire was passenger side. Look at the driver mirror it is not hanging.

Look at the bed I imagine the color was close to white or beige. The bumper looks good, if it had been a super heated fire the license plate would not look like it does. You still have standing tall rear tires.

Intial fire and heat aprox 470 degrees maybe 535 not enough to weaken metal skin. Agree the hood is bowed in the middle but something could have fell there.

What I really need is a picture of the interior then I could put the whole scenerio together.

popcorn The Truth is Out There (H@@@ I think I'll bid on it I already got 54 parts in the garage that do not look that good!! wink Right Mr. Houston) LOL Pops
