Guys,
I am about to start putting my '48 back together. I am looking for the Quad set gauge, and speedo. Does anyone make gauges that fit in the factory opening, or will I have to use adapters? I've done lots of research, and come up with very little. What did you guys use? Post pics if you can.

Thanks,
Mark

I have heard that the gauges from a Toyota truck(model unknown) will fit. Seems they are set up in two clusters like the stock Chevy ones.

I have Autometer gauges in my 57 with an aluminum insert and orginal bezel. They look great and are electronic. That way I can calibrate my speedo with 1 touch of a button and it will always be correct. They dont have a mechanical speedo cable they have an electric impulse cable that transfers the info from the trans to the speedo. The best part is these electric speedos and guages will work on all cars and trucks and give accurate info to the driver.
