Hi and another question from KANADIAN KORNER.
My '50 didn't come with a heater although I can detect a faint outline of something that was mounted inside the cab where 2 existing holes are that would probably fit heater hoses. My question is : what heaters will fit my truck as in other years ? .Thanks. This is a great site.

1947 to 1953 will be a direct fit. I believe there was a standard & deluxe. Many of these old trucks & cars had aftermarket heaters. One of those could be easily installed.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

If you want a dealer on the Canadian side try Iron Chief. I thought his price was reasonable. Cecil..........

I have the standard heater in my 49. The core is made circular and in two pieces with a hole in the center like a donut. The fan motor mounts in the center of the hole. The two tubes go thru the firewall from the inside and there are 3 mounting bolt holes in the firewall if it is a standard. There is also a flat plate about 4" in diameter on the firewall in that location. I think that it has to do with the deluxe heater. These heaters occasionally show up on eBay but you should be able to find one elsewhere. If you need more help you can email me.
