The radiator seems like a good piece and fits the truck. The problem is that the thermostat housing neck is 11/2" and the upper neck on the new radiator is 13/4" and the hose that they sold me is 11/2" ID on both ends. Has anybody run into this problem before and if so what have you done? Jim Carter is closed all week so I haven't called them yet, but I have a pretty good idea what their response is going to be. I can drive to either Jim Carter or Chevy Duty in about 20 minutes or LMC Truck in about 45. I just bought two doors and two bedsides and was nailed with $350 in shipping! They make a lot of hoses with different sized ends, just have to match them up.

The problem is that until I find a hose with the correct configuration with 13/4" ID on both ends, changing the thermostat housing won't solve anything. So far everything that they've shown me at the parts store has been 11/2" ID. I called Jim Carter yesterday and the recording said that they were closed until 1-7-06. | | |
