on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 11 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 11 | Hi guys I just wanted to say hello and join in the fray here at the stove bolt. I currently have two advance design projects A 48 burb and a 48 GMC 100. The burb is on long term hiatus (too broke to build) and the GMC is close to running, with a 57 302, 3 strombergs , Fentons and a F290 Howard. It currently has a t 10 , but I am trying to find a V8 T5 to slide in. I plan to race this truck with the ECTA in XO/PP this up coming season. I have been lurking for a while, and using the great tech on the board. Jay

(I b iggorant) And welcome to an extremely helpful site. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 11 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 11 | Ecta is East Coast Timing Association. XO/PP is XO = vintage overhead engine up to 325 ci pre 1959 PP= production pickup We run a timed mile at an old air base at Maxton NC. The SCTA/BNI world record is in the 130 on a 3.5 mile track. I am hoping to break 90 with my current configuration. My main hold up is lack of overdrive, or not a tall enough gear. Jay
