I have a 41 standard 3/4 ton with a flatbed. I want to put a pickup bed back on the truck. Beds, fenders, and full running boards seem hard to find and priced reasonably. What other year beds would fit on this tuck if I can't find the original equipment close to home (western Nevada). What about utility beds?

You can put a bed off of an AD on it with some fairly minimal modification. (My truck came with one on it). The AD bed won't be "correct", but if you don't care about that, then it should be fine.
As for other styles of beds, Flat beds and utility beds work, but I can't speak to how much modification you'll need. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,682 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,682 | I've seen dudes put S10 beds on the backs of Deco and AD trucks.. some looked alright, others looked like crap.
You'll pay thru the nose for a new repro bed, fenders, and bedwood kit.. you'd probably get off alot cheaper buying a whole other truck and snatching the bed off it.
The fenders alone can set you back upwards of $300 for a used, original set.. and fiberglass repops sell for something like $200+ a piece.
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.
