How about 47 2nd series thru 55 1st series? Would that work?

That would work also. The rear fenders from the 47-55.1 Advance Design trucks are identical for 1/2 ton up through 1 ton to my understanding.

Last pair of solid AD fenders I sold went for just over $300 for the pair.

A '51 3/4 ton set and a '52 1/2 ton set were identical.

Fred- Does that fender have a brace to the box? I can't remember what the AD's have. It sounds like the fender might be flexing or vibrating too much and causing the mud to crack.

Barry Weeks, the 471st thru the 55nd has a brace from the rear fender to the frame, not to the box.

If those fenders have no bead cracks, aren't rusted where they bolt to the running boards, haven't been run with mud or snow chains with a loose link that knobbied them all up from the inside, then I'll give you $1000 for your ten cent investment.

Sorry a little off topic but oh well...
My box has braces from the top of the fender to the box is this a manufactured thing or a common aftermarket change and is it okay to put on a 1950 3100 Chevy. Also how hard are they to remove and if you do does this operation screw up your fenders??

Thanks for the help

There is a middle brace that is riveted to the middle fender lip and secured to the box via one of the fender bolts. I have seen several ADs that have this brace removed as the owners did not like the two rivet heads showing on the fender.
