I'm trying to press the ball joint stud out of the steering knuckle with a tool similar to that in the manual. Doesn't seem to be budging and I've got so much torque on the wrench, I'm afraid the wrench is gonna break. Any tips on getting these things out of the knuckle?

Alternatively, you can use a pickle fork but it tears up the boot, a non-issue if you are replacing them. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 32 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 32 | let your suspension hang put the ball joint nut back on 4 or 5 turns then take a large hammer or slege hammer and hit the lower balljoint boss on the spindle this should free it up.works for me every time. | | |
