| | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | Greg - here\'s the layout - most folks have a cotter pin in the throttle linkage where there needs to be the special clip shown to hold the rod in place, and the cable goes thru the hole and is held by the little screw clamp so the linkage can move while the cable slides in the hole - when you pull the hand throttle it pulls up the linkage clear enuff? I found some clips that look like they might fit but might be a little small.

| | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | greg - they were commonly used on various linkages way back to keep the arm from slopping around in the hole, but most get chucked and replaced w/ cotter pins - needs to be the right size for the diameter of the shaft and the size of the hole, but if you've got some close they may work - only way to do the throttle linkage as the hole needs to be free and kept in the right position so the cable can slide freely when you use the pedal
