What are the chances of an oil soak getting them free? Who supplies replacements? All I've found are 63 and up replacement cables. Are there good aftermarket setups that replace everything? Thanks.

I too would suggest Chevy Duty; used them for the first time last week and was SERIOUSLY well impressed by the speed of service.

Dump the rusty cables. You will be glad you did. I second the Car Quest route. If you remove the cable, the lever, the c-clip, and the parking brake return lever and spring (the horizontal bar in the brakes) you should be able to run just fine. At that point you'll notice your back brakes look EXACTLY like your front!
