I would like to convert 1 of them with a v8 set-up but because living in Belgium Europe , engines are hard to find, not to talk about gearboxes. Who can help me to supply me with a package ? Cheers

Most folks who've done that conversion mention having to move the steering box, and having to do some chopping under the hood to get a bigger radiator to fit further forward. Here's a link in the Tech Tips section to an article where a fellow swapped his stock 216 with a GMC 302.. not exactly swapping a 216 with a 350, but I would guess the same issues need to be addressed in the swap (perhaps just not with the same solutions) TechTips Article on 216 to GMC302 swap

I'm using a mild 283 with a stock radiator that only gets too hot on very hot days in stop and go traffic.

Also research the Hot Rod type mags on the news stand, filled with ads on the subject. Another option would be to clip the entire front end, giving you modern steering and the motor mounting you would need. I realize finding more modern Chevys as donor cars is not easy overthere. Just spend some time with research. Check out some of the vendors on this site that handle the Mustang front ends, should also have the V8 mounts. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 175 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2000 Posts: 175 | Chassis Engineering has the mounts. I had a friend with a 41 with a 327. I bought his radiator when he went to a camaro clip and aluminum radiator. The radiator uses the same mounting flange and tanks. It was just re-cored. It really helps my 216 stay cool.
