Early Jeeps use similar screws for the windshield hinges. I found some at a really big local Ace hardware store. They are really hard to find, I had to search quite a while. You may want to try a Grainger or tractor supply place if you can't find them at a regular fastener supplier.

I think the best thing to do is to get a impact screw driver and maybe a little heat.
You can get a cheap impact srew driver from Harbor Frieght. That is where I got mine.
