Hay, I just purchased a 1952 Chevy 1/2 ton with the number on the motor F206H can anyone tell the year of the motor.


I've never been lost just confused for a month or two. 1950 & 1952 chev. 1998 Chev 4x4.

uhm.

What is in it currently? A inline 6? v-6? v-8?

to the right of the distributor on the block... if I recall right, is where the casting number for the block is... for the inline 6 - 235 anyhoo...(the '57 model anyhow) ...

Yes it is an in-line 6 the casting number to the right of the distributor. Is 3837004.

Any info would help.

According to the casting numbers posted on Inliners.org 3837004 is a 55-57 235.

In the range of 1955-1957, the "F 206 H" engine serial number indicates a 1957 235 engine built in Flint, MI with a manual transmission (built on February 6).
