3970010....302.....69....4...Z-28 Camaro
3970010....327.....69....2...Trucks and industrial
3970010....350...69-80...2 or 4
Here's some more info on it.
passenger side of block behind head (date manufactured): K172
Nov 1st 1972?
Intake: 3927188
Intake date: 4188
Carb is a 2 barrel Rochester
Distributor is points
Passenger side of intake has a I think a heat riser of some sort just to the right of the carb on the intake. :confused:

#16349 06/05/2004 12:35 AM | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | that block number is 68-76 truck and hi-perf 4bolt main 350, so was swapped into the 61 truck - the 'some sorta heat riser' is automatic choke mechanism - will have a bimetal coil in the sheetmetal box - intake and carb on an old motor can be anything a PO wanted - can't say about the rest

The 0010 block is one of the more common 350 blocks. The way to tell what is originally came in (it's been swapped into your truck) is to check the stamping code suffix on the pad at the front of the passenger side head. I wrote up some info on how to do that on this page. Good luck with it. | | |
