Hello, I am getting ready to replace my master cylinder and would like to bleed the system at the same time. There has been a popup lately showing a hose with a check valve that keeps the vacuum from letting in air. Would be good for a one man job. Anyone else seen this or used one? They are cheap on line, but a lot of the cheap vacuum bleeders got bad reviews here. Any thoughts?

I gravity bled the last time on my ‘69 1 1/2 ton. It wasn’t fast but it worked.

More than a few of us use a Motive pressure bleeder, it just works, quick and easy once you figure out how to fit on the master you have…., 10 psi of fluid pushed into the master and it is a matter of opening the bleeders one at a time…..
Many adapters to choose from for your master cylinder, I have a dual master in my 46 so I use the universal…..I use clamps instead of provided chains….

What kind of clamps? Fairly small C clamps?

Why not just use speed bleeders? They have a built-in check valve. Loosen the bleeder screw 1/4 turn and slowly pump the brake pedal up and down.

I just ordered a set of those bleeders. They arrived last night. I have not used them yet but might this weekend. If I do, I will report back.

I have one of those Motive Power pressure bleeders. But I saw somewhere (might have been here...) about someone making their own pressure bleeder out of a hand held insecticide/herbicide sprayer ... I guess you could use a extra M/C cover and add a port to it from the sprayer, pump it up to 10 psi and Robert's your mother's brother.
