I just picked up a 1950 3100 truck with a 1960 235 engine according to the block number.
It has a overheating problem
I purchased an adapter from DAVIS SPEED EQUIPMENT if you brouse the website you'll see the application and a new water pump that raises the fan up about 4 inches so it's more centered on the radiator.
I'm having problems locating a replacement fan as the new waterpump shaft is 1 inch and previous water pump was 5/8.
Has anyone else experienced this tabackle.
I'm not a machinist so please don't give me reccomendation to drill etc.
Stuck in garage forever
Jim

The adapter plate uses the original 216 water pump, so buy and install the original 216 fan that the truck came with.

A '53-54 waterpump from classic parts.com, part # 82-012 is what you need for '60 235 with the relocation adapter. It comes with a 3/8" pulley.
