I bought a 1961 GMC 1000 about 6 months ago. I stumbled onto this site and it is very interesting. The truck is more of a rat rod than anything right now. I have started my way through it from front to rear. This will be a journey. Glad to be among you!

Well, we are glad to have you here. I think you'll find just about everything you need in our Virtual Garage. You may find a good bit of that in the SHOPS AREA. And we've got a good group of GMC Bolters that can help with those specific issues. Welcome.

1962 C10 with a 235 6cyl -- all of the drive train seems to be original. Some of this story is in the Side Lot Some people like a new truck. I liked the old ones.
Jerry, Welcome to Stovebolt! I'll be the first to say, post some pictures please - LOL! We all love to see what you have and the progress you make as your project moves along.

First, welcome to the ‘bolt! Sounds like a great start for your project. If you're interested, tell us a bit about your truck, its history, your goals and what if any, you have already accomplished on restoring your truck.
And of course we Bolters love pictures so include a few. Here’s a link to instructions on how to add pictures to a post.

Here's a couple pictures. It has a little 305 in it. Runs pretty good. I just put new wheels on it and got rid of the steel wheels. Looks like I need an oil pan and a good gasket next...
Jerry, glad to see you were able to add some pictures of the GMC. New wheels you say??? How about some picture of that. If you have some questions about the oil pan replacement, check the gang over in THE SHOPS AREA. Knowledgeable gearheads there may be able to help.
