why does the yellow tablet marker at the engine forum always stay yellow after you have viewed it.

Alvin, I'm not sure what you are talking about. Can you get a screen shot and post it?

Alvin, It may be an issue with your web browser. Mine (Firefox) doesn’t change the “yellow” unread post marker from posts or the forums after I’ve read the new stuff.

To get them to change, I have to refresh the web page which then recognizes I’ve read them and then I can go on to other new posts. My iPhone does the same thing 😑

Hope that helps.

I always refresh but thst one little booger on engine forum always shows unread. It has been that way for some time and if i remember correctly it was noted by a few others but its been a good while back.......i just always know ive read it.
.when i sign in i go through every forum but engine never shows its read.. no biggie, just curious.

Edit... i just went through all forums and every one of them show read except the engine forum.
Not sure how my server would cause just that one to be like that but I'll have my IT neighbor take a look.

I had the same thing happen a couple of weeks ago. Had to click on the 'Tech Tips -- Engine' subforum folder inside the Engine forum.

If it's only the Engine forum, we'll have to check the permissions. It does seem odd. BUT, if you ever saw the insides of the "permissions" page, there are 27 categories to set, with nine possibilities for each of them. These two: "min time between posts" and "delete post time limit" are the most bizarre. The first one is: "can see forum." Hmmm ... what are we doing here then. ohwell

Well, I adjusted a few things in the Engine Shop. Let me know if that changed anything for you all. If it doesn't, we'll have to dig further down in the tool box.
