With Alvin and I heading to KC next month I thought I would head up to Boiling Springs a day early. I was thinking a group of us could meet up for Lunch/Dinner at the Famous Beacon on the 13th. Nothing formal, if you can bring your "BOLT" great, if not still great. I would love to see some of our folks and swap stories. grin

I would love to but any trip longer than a trip to Indy to see my son is a major trip. I don't think it is the biscuit but the almonds. dance ohwell Besides I am trying to get to KC one more time and I have invited JDL. Besides I could make it a grand tour if he drove. I have close relatives in Va. Md. and DC. and also Pa.

Ron,

Glad to see you'll attempt the KC Roundup. Sure hope JDL can go along. Get some of these: pix

So, are you saying if you head East, you'd "circle this way," too? That would be good to see you. Consider Winchester. That's a major event for ODSS (and many others) and you'd catch up with a bunch of the Stovebolt Collective, as well as a lot of trucks. JDL may get a kick out of it also.

Hey Tuts, Looks like me and (maybe) the Mizzuz can meet up with y'all on the 13th. We're in western NC for a while, it looks like the drive won't be too bad.

Post up if plans change though.

RLB, Thanks for the response. At the moment the plan is for me to me up with Alvin and head to KC, I figured I would had up a day earlier just to be able to get together with some other Bolters.

Looking forward to meeting you and Mizzuz. Are going to be bringing a Truck? No pressure just asking. Thanks.

The 66 C10 isn’t ready for the road yet, sorry to say. We’ll be driving a nice 2 owner ‘90 Toyota club cab 4x4 pickup. Not a Stovebolt but we get a lot of compliments on it & lots of inquiries about selling it. Looking forward to meeting you guys & whoever else shows up. RB

The Beacon is a 7 hour drive from my house. I would be driving by Brunswick to get there.

Where are you and Alvin staying in KC?

Well Folks we are about a week away from My trip to Boiling Springs and our gathering. I plan to leave Brunswick about 5:00 AM and meet Alvin at his house. The Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise I hope to get a ride in Alvin's '37 and meet up with everyone at The Beacon. I was thinking 12:30 for a time-line to get together, that should give us ample time to set around and swap lies. See you there..

Well, I hate to bail out on meeting you guys & checking out your Stovebolts, but that's what I'm doing. We have the house in NC for sale & we'll be doing a inventory reduction haul back to Florida .
