Took Vicki to one of her favorite restaurants, The Pilot House on the NW edge of Cape Girardeau. During the meal, she gets a text from her cousin, wishing her a happy birthday and then told me.
Guess what?
I had completely forgot about it. Going to be a long, cold, four hour drive back home tomorrow.

I stayed overnight in Crossville Tennessee last night and Archie and I pulled the cylinder head off "46 Texaco" today. Yep- - - -it had a blown head gasket, so I'm going to do a valve job (probably replace the exhaust valves, at least) and check the head to see if it's warped. First time that engine's been apart in over 50 years! Great to see my bolter friends again, and add another layer to the scrap heap in the process!
