Thank you to the moderators for allowing me in. I am grateful for the wealth of knowledge that you all contribute on these pages.
I have a farm truck to shop truck, project that is well along now. I drive it most days to the woodshop I run, serving generally the old-house restoration community here in Southern California. The truck runs really well. It has a 235 from a '59 car in it that appears to have been there a loooong time. (So I have a post in the Swap Meet looking for a '58 truck block.)
The truck has the original 3-speed tranny, which was one of my mistakes. It drives just exactly as it should, but that is challenging on busy city streets around here. (So I'll be looking around for a T5 to put in there -- just posted in Swap Meet also.)
There are a bunch of other things I hope to do, and all of them would be much harder without the skills and knowledge of those on this forum. Once again, thank you.

Welcome and awesome truck. Looks like it came along way. Something I've found out about driving old stuff, is that just because you don't feel like your keeping up in traffic, don't mean your going to slow. It just means everyone else is going to fast. Sit back and enjoy the ride. I would.😁
I saw your post in the Swap Meet and will see what can be done to try and help along in your search. Also added a note about your question for what to do with the old engine when you find the new one.
BTW - The transformation of the truck to it's present state is fantastic. Look forward to see more of your truck and trying to help as we can with other questions or needs for the truck.

1962 C10 with a 235 6cyl -- all of the drive train seems to be original. Some of this story is in the Side Lot Some people like a new truck. I liked the old ones.
