Now you'll have to get a loader or back hoe to load that dump truck with. "I'm asking $700, but I'd take less..." "how much less?" "I'd take $400" "deal" I'm in the market for a back hoe now. | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 39 Junior Member | Junior Member Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 39 | Nice find! John I'm just north of Bangor. Rickdb...I hope I get that sort of deal too!, But it probably won't happen. Backhoes are like gold up here. I'm a patient man...I don't buy until I find "The Deal" | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 13 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 13 | Originally posted by 53moneypit: "but he dickered himself down"
I've had that happen to me. Sure was fun I figure if I'd let him keep talkin', I would left with the truck and he would have owed me money | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 13 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 13 | Another shot...the bed's got some swiss-cheese issues, but there's some new plate steel welded inside. There's the usual cab corner rust issues, as well as the roof/windshield area. Oh well, it'll be working work in progress. If you plan on doing much spreading with it, you will want to find a way to move the gate control to inside the cab. It's hard to reech tose handals with the box in the air. I wish I could...but the brake booster is on the passenger side floor. The PO said it had been "re-done"... As far as I can tell, that's the only drivability issue with it. With a little work, there's a nice truck in there, but this one is gonna be a worker, not a full restoration. I've got 70 acres that I'm starting to build on, so once I get her running (and stopping) she'll be hauling gravel for the pad for my big-a$$ garage project. | | |
