Any thoughts on where to stay? Reading some reviews, the hotels around the I-70/Noland Road area do not come with very good ratings. I'm thinking to pay the extra and stay at the Drury about 2 miles east on I-70? They always seem to have somewhat of a decent breakfast and clean rooms. Just a little more than two weeks away!

Sounds like a better location. I will look at making reservation this weekend.

OK, that settles that, I’ll make reservations at the Drury this weekend also for Friday and Saturday nights. Friday evening we will meet up at Mongo’s or a slight chance at the Alderson’s for BBQ and a tour of their private collection of vehicles.

Drury has a “free happy hour” that pretty much amounts to a full evening meal (for me anyway) and a couple free adult beverages. Or whatever soda, etc you want.

Are Friday evenings events/possibles open to any that can come?
Will be my first time attending a 'Bolter event since 2014. My only participation back then was at the Truck show at the park during the day on Saturday. Pretty much makes me an old time "newbie" (lol) so not sure how this all works.
Thanks,
Dan

I completely forgot that I kind of snuck into the background on this one (erratic red circled guy was me)
Thanks for the memory!

Yes, that’s the one I was referring to. Hopefully that was the one Don booked.
I’d say I’m at least a 50% bet to start the journey, and the truck is 50% likely to make it that far. But it’s still my plan and I will book a room. I might need to start heading back Saturday evening. Have some other family stuff to attend.

Just reserved a room at the Drury for Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night we will meet up at the Alderson's and a tour of their collection. Saturday will be a day at Mongo's and some BBQ. I have a taste for some smoked pulled pork along with some Dutch oven smoked baked beans.

Going to be my first at this venue too. Looking forward to it!

As noted above, my 1st event there too. Suggest you ask the question again in the "Agenda" post found under the above link. This thread is mostly info for those needing overnight lodging.
Also recommend you read through that entire thread as there are 2 separate events that make up the whole weekend. Pretty sure most info you would be interested in is already there.
