Peggy...that happens to me all the time. I don't understand how I can have a clear thought (let's say it is "go to the refrigerator") and by the time I travel the 12 feet to get there I have no earthly idea whether I wanted a glass of milk, some pickled okra or what.

My Duramax...Maximus (just Max now). Seemed fitting for a powerful diesel truck.
It bothered my wife at first, but not anymore. Everyone calls the vehicles by their nicknames now!

Truck names are much like call signs in aviation (in my opinion). They are not chosen - they are awarded so to speak. One day, some day something will occur and someone else will comment and the name will emerge. I would not force it. And if like in aviation, do something stupid or (in this case) if the truck does something stupid, the name will emerge rather quickly.

My daily driver truck is named "Reasons". People kept asking why I did one project or another on it and the answer was always the same. Because Reasons.

As loathe as I may be to agree with *anything* Hambone says ... in this case, Good Form dictates that I must ... painful as it is.
As HB says -- give it time. Don't rush into anything or force it. A name will emerge. Or maybe it won't. Maybe it will forever be just "the truck" and that's cool, too.
BTW, sometime, we will be glad to let you know what Hambone's REAL call sign was among his ODSS brothers ....
