Just picked up my second 1954 3100. Barn find that was put away in 1976 and pulled out last week. About two three years after I sold my first one for $200. Should have kept my first one, would have been a better financial decision, but what can I say, I was young and dumb.

I'm looking forward to going through the site to get as much information as I can to bring this one back to life as a project with my grandsons.

It's a 1954 that was repainted in the early 70s which help protect it from rust so other than a small spot at the bottom of the rear of the cab is rust free. Has a Hydra-Matic and 5 windows, dual carb intake and dual exhaust. Engine, Transmission and rear end all match. Interior is in great shape with original seat, headliner, sun visors, door panels and floor mats.

Look forward to getting this up and running so I know exactly what's in front of me. Ordered a six volt battery so hopefully I can get if fired up by this afternoon.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Please read the Stovebolt Tech Tips on resurrection of dead Stovebolt engines before you damage what you have.

Edit: HERE IS the Tech Tip that Martin is talking about: "Bringing a dead engine back to life." Figured you'd appreciate a HOT LINK. wink
