I had a '51 Chevy 3100 a couple of decades ago and I had to sell it because raising three kids just didn't leave much time or money left over for hobbies. Here is a shot of my old '51 with my then 5 year old son on the hood. Pix below.

I am now recently retired and have plenty of time on my hands and I got the itch again. I wanted a driver, not a show truck and not a rust bucket, just something that I could cruise around with in the summer and I finally found one. I paid way too much but that's just the way things are these days. Here's my '63 C10 (pix below).

Welcome to Stovebolt. Consider yourself at home. We are all here to help because all of us know more than one of us!!!

Paid to much?? Maybe but it means your spend retirement driving to get a biscuit now rather than later! Enjoy it and if you have any questions just ask them in the garage forums......and be sure to visit often and watch for some bolters from your areas. They are everywhere.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Welcome to the site ausfahrt. Like your handle, saw those signs a lot along the autobahn. Hope you're done with the rat race of work and being busy, time to take the off ramp. Nice truck and enjoy your retirement.

Thanks for the warm welcome and I'm happy to be a new member. That first pic was taken in 2000 and my boy is now 27 years old! My how time flies.

Welcome to the bolt... it's better to drive it than to work on it for a decade!
