Maybe a little more info before you write me off, the existing frame is baddly twisted I'm just trying to keep the spirit of my '46 alive.

The front fenders and wheel openings were enlarged to fit the 20" wheel of the big trucks. Using that body on a 1/2 ton frame would be way out of proportion. Transplant your body to an old diesel delivery truck with a modern drivetrain would be a cool way to salvage your body.
There's my 2 cents,
Scott

The cabs were all the same size, right? so all he's need to do is get fenders? Or would he need a whol;e front clip (fenders hood grill)

an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.

just the fenders - but the deco cabs are narrower than anything newish, and will be hard to fit to any 1/2 or 3/4T - maybe an s10

I've seen this done two ways.

Check Sublime's post in the general forum; he widened his fenders a couple inches to cover the wheels on a four-wheel-drive chassis. Sublime

Winged Express narrowed an IFS crossmember to fit a Advance Design big bolt frame and fit under an Art Deco's fenders. WingedExpress

It's true. I really don't do anything but browse the Internet looking for trouble...
