For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 | Hi,
I'm trying to restore a 1970 C 50 Chevy dump truck and need front fenders. Does anyone here have them or know where I can get them?
Thanks,

Check the Links, too.
Let me tell you, it is getting harder and harder for an old 'bolter like me to do as many pushups as John requires. So I do my best to pick up the loose paper and rags and put tools away here in the garage, and I almost never go smartin' off to him.
Check around your area, talk to other folk here, too. Somebody may know of a place near you that will have just waht you want.
Drivin' down a 2 lane country road in a stovebolt.....cowboy, it don't get no better than this!

Oh, the scurrilous moments pass, fleeting and sun fleck'd as they are, 'ere I pause to give voice to the forming thoughts... Alas, I fail!
Your response, Sir, is most apropos and cogent! Thus, no push ups for you today.
Just mountain climbers!

Have you checked with a GM truck dealer, find one thats willing to dig around a little and you might get lucky. The swap meet is good, and ebay now has a wanted column. I was there about a month ago, & they had probably, between 50 to 60, '67-'72 Chevy, & GMC C50-70 trucks, & that's not counting the school buses, they have this model. They will ship them to you. Ph. I figured it must have been something like that, because I knew the trucks were there. I'll keep looking for ya. Do your fenders have the wide, or narrow flare. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 | | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 | called C and H and they said they didn't have anything worth shipping. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 3 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 3 | On this truck parts seach engine I typed in "Fender Chevrolet C50" and came up with a left hand fender. http://www.heavytruckparts.net/partsearch.php | | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 11 | Thanks. Will only 1970 fit? Only C-50? Inner fender needed too, or do these even have them?
Ready to pay shipping charges from Kansas?
Kansas hasn't been using salt on the roads until fairly recently so I would expect the drier climate to allow them to be good.
I expect they would be reasonable as the fellow seems easy to deal with. There a couple of other yards in western Kansas I could check with too.
Email me at greenbeanman at gmail.com (without spaces & with @ instead, they keep bots at bay). I'll check back here too.
