For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | I know I have seen this posted before but here goes anyway. I just talked to my insurance company (Western Reserve) today about liability only on a 1952 6400 truck. They will only cover it as a commercial vehicle for $500 per year. What do the rest of you do with yours? I know there has to be some other way to go. Thanks for any info. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 | I've got my 48's covered under a rider policy that's under another vehicle that has full coverage. I decided the dollar amount it was worth and put liability and uninsured motorist on it and it costs me a little over $20.00 every six months. It's supposed to be a limited use policy but my agent said I could drive them whenever I wanted. I may just be lucky and have a car guy agent, but yours doesn't seem too eager to help you. May be time to shop around. My company is Farmers Insurance. Taylor. You can find their web sites on the Links Page -- just go to the menu bar at the top of this page and follow the link for "links" and then look for "Insurance"
Good luck!

Texas just changed the law to allow personal coverage on vehicles up to 25,000 GVW. Previously anything over 10,000 had to have commercial coverage. | | |
