If anyone has replaced a two speed auto with a three speed turbo trans, I am curious if the original column can be used. I remember doing a 57 Chevy and Danchuk had a three speed indicator to fit the original column. If anyone has any experience with this please drop me a note!

My thought now is to find a 2wd 60-66 long bed Fleetside and swap that body onto a later Suburban 4x4 chassis. I would really like to keep an auto trans in the Suburban BUT, I'd also like to keep the 60-66 interior looking as stock as possible. Putting a TH 350 behind a 235 requires a pretty pricey adapter plate and a modified flex plate, since that was never an option from the factory. A 350 trans and a V8 will bolt together, but it might require a little creative drilling or flex plate swapping to make the torque converter bolt up.
