Also, has anyone installed a power booster/dual master cylinder under the floor boards like the kits that are available for 1/2 tons? | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 3,068 | I've installed a booster and dual res master under the floor, but it wasn't a kit, I fabbed my own mounting bracket. I got a booster from a 70 C10 and a rebuilt master for the same, with drum/drum brakes. For the wheel cylinders go to a CarQuest or NAPA parts store. If they don't stock them, they can get them the next day, Scott | | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 3 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 3 | I'm just starting on a 1951 1 1/2 Ton 4100 series flatbed/tiltbed restoration and was able to get brake parts through NAPA - note that their books will refer to a 2 digit series number, i.e. 41 series instead of 4100. Also found a rebuilt Hydro-Vac unit from a brake specialist in Portland ($200). Next come all the lines and fittings. If I continue to post over the next few weeks, you'll know they worked. If not... 1951 Chevy 1 1/2-ton flat bed/tilt bed 4100 series
