Yeh, there was a very strong rumour that the el camino was inspired by the australian utes,
America had pickups, Australia went the path of utes.
Whilst it is a 1950 chev, the cab and body were fabricated by Holden, who in the 40's were coach builders for many manufacturers not car manufacturers themselves.

Sure do, my sister lives in newcastle on glebe road, I have possibly lined up a used armature, so hopefully it turns out to be a good one, otherwise im roll starting for a while
