Ditto on the welcome! And a great looking Ute! Wish they were offered in the US years ago and today. New Toyota Utes seem to be the wanted truck down-under now.

Yeh, there was a very strong rumour that the el camino was inspired by the australian utes,
America had pickups, Australia went the path of utes.
Whilst it is a 1950 chev, the cab and body were fabricated by Holden, who in the 40's were coach builders for many manufacturers not car manufacturers themselves.
Welcome to the Bolt, Simso. You join a great group of truck guys. Love the UTE. We have a local Chevy dealer who is a "collector". I was at the dealership talking to a friend when he showed me a 478/48 Ute. Love them. Your a lucky guy. Hang onto that one for sure.
Do you still have family here in Newcastle the town i live in is Charlestown and spend weekends in port Stephens at Boat Harbour hope you get the starter sorted
Sure do, my sister lives in newcastle on glebe road, I have possibly lined up a used armature, so hopefully it turns out to be a good one, otherwise im roll starting for a while
