I think of it quite the opposite. This was sitting in a barn for decades, never to see the road again. It’s now back on the road, spreading the love for old Chevy trucks. This build may not be for everyone but i think we all can agree we’d rather see these trucks going down the road versus decomposing as cozy homes for mice.

Thanks for taking a look through my build!

....Markiemar, even though some purist may not agree with you I am with you 100% with what you say. Kind of describes my 37.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

I agree, keeping these old trucks on the road is more important than keeping the totally original. My 38 looks original but has a newer drive line and disc brakes. It suits me just fine.

I second that. I don't think I've ever heard someone complain when one of these classics is going down the road. It's kind of hard to say "I'll bet that thing doesn't have the original coil anymore" when you're staring and your mouth is hanging open. grin

Dear Stovebolt Members,

We are excited to announce the latest featured journal by “MarkieMark9”, in our new Completed Journals forum.

This exceptional "restomod" project is a perfect blend of vintage and modern engineering—featuring a 1939 Chevy 1/2 ton mounted on a S10 frame, powered with a robust 4.3 LS motor. The existing body has been preserved, allowing us to utilize the nostalgic charm while benefiting from all the modern conveniences of today's automotive innovations.

Remarkably, this build was completed in under nine months! We encourage you all to check out the journal and share your thoughts or inquiries about the retromod process.

Best regards,
Phil
